Furthermore, they possess superior oxidation resistance and heat resistance, and their processability and weldability are excellent. However, preheating to 300℃ is required before welding, and stress relief treatment is necessary after welding.

Cold-drawn seamless tubes are a commonly used material in the alumina industry. All welded connections are made using steel alloy welding materials and conventional fusion welding methods. A common method involves applying HO8CMOVA wire as a root pass while simultaneously sealing with R317 wire. Welds using this procedure are prone to localized weld cracking and penetration within a short period when operating under high temperature, high pressure, and high-pressure conditions on the pipeline.
